Olafur Eliasson (b. 1967) is a Danish born artist of Icelandic descent. Over 90 people work in his Berlin based studio workshop assisting him on everything from concept design, to manufacturing and installation.

Contemp. art is a search, isn’t it? For some reason to be making art in the first place, since it fills no pressing, obvious, historic need. That was my impression, looking at this work. It was as sociological as it was artistic. Meaning by that that place in the ether where one goes from pure inspiration. xx’s, v.
